An Upstate New York crossing guard was hit by a car and injured, according to police. WHAM reports an on-duty City of Rochester crossing guard was on a sidewalk when he was hit and injured after two vehicles collided on the city’s north side. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Joseph Avenue and Upper Falls Boulevard.

A second person has died following a deadly two-vehicle crash last weekend on West Ridge Road in Greece, New York. Greece police confirmed Thursday that a passenger in one of the two involved vehicles died following the Jan. 17 crash at the intersection of West Ridge and Elmgrove roads.

Multiple people were sent to the hospital after a car crash on State Route 14 in the town of Montour on Saturday, according to first responders

The driver, a 23-year old man who police have not identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Within the last hour, it has become dangerous to be a motorist in northern Chautauqua County. Around 1:30 p.m., there is a report of a train striking a motor vehicle on Middle Road near the city of Dunkirk border.

The incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime, authorities said.
